Drew Gibbs
President of Recovery Roofing
Drew Gibbs, President of Recovery Roofing, began his career in roofing at just 18 years old with Childers Roofing and Sheet Metal under the mentorship of his father, Paul Gibbs — though he often says he was “born with a hammer in his hand.” From the very beginning, Drew proved himself as a natural leader in the field, combining hands-on skill with the drive to take on complex projects and deliver results. Over the years, he has built unmatched expertise in both field operations and project management, earning OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications and gaining manufacturer certifications from Polyglass, Johns Manville, Garland, Carlisle, and CertainTeed, among many others.
As a subcontractor, Drew has been trusted to oversee some of the region’s most challenging and high-profile projects, including:
• Glendale Elementary – Vero Beach, FL
• Jax Port Authority – Jacksonville, FL
• Baptist Health Hospital – Fleming Island, FL
• UF Health – Downtown Jacksonville, FL
• Lockheed Martin – Orlando, FL
• Multiple projects – Kings Bay Naval Base, St. Mary’s, GA
• Sebastian Middle School – St. Augustine, FL
• Palm Coast High School – Palm Coast, FL
• UF Communicore Building – University of Florida, Gainesville, FL
• UF Medical Science Building – University of Florida, Gainesville, FL
Since becoming a licensed roofing contractor in 2022, Drew has continued to elevate Recovery Roofing by serving as prime contractor on large-scale projects, proving his ability to take complete ownership of jobs from start to finish:
• American Freight Warehouse – Jacksonville, FL (386 SQS)
• American Freight Warehouse – Melbourne, FL (232 SQS)
• American Freight Warehouse – Ocala, FL (424 SQS)
• Old Duval Laundry Mat – Jacksonville, FL (500 SQS)

Drew’s leadership style sets him apart in the roofing industry. He is not only a contractor but also a strategist, problem-solver, and mentor to his crews. Known for his transparent communication, uncompromising safety standards, and relentless focus on quality, he ensures every project exceeds expectations. Even as President, Drew still gets on the roof and works side by side with his crews, demonstrating his belief in leading from the front and earning the respect of his team.
His proudest accomplishment to date is the 2024–2025 Kings Bay Project, which marked Recovery Roofing’s first fully bonded and completely turnkey contract. Managing every aspect from start to finish, Drew delivered with precision, quality, and accountability — solidifying both his and the company’s reputation for taking on complex, high-stakes projects and executing them flawlessly.
With a proven record of success across educational, healthcare, government, and industrial sectors, Drew is regarded as a trusted leader, a skilled craftsman, and the driving force behind Recovery Roofing’s reputation as one of the premier roofing contractors in the Southeast.
